According to recent reports, members of South African police and the Games of Chance Regulation office have visited many gaming sites in the city of Springbook, in order to find and eliminate illegal halls and confiscate slot machines operating without the necessary permission.

During these visits, authorities found three illegal gaming facilities and confiscated many slot machines.

Thapelo Motsage, spokesman for the Games of Chance Regulation office in South Africa, declared that at least forty slot machines had been taken to an old mine and destroyed. The objective of the operation, said Motsage, was to suppress all illegal gaming activities in the province.

He also added that, with the help of local police officers, they plan to continue carrying out these actions so as to eradicate every operation that is against the law.
